GECCO-05 in Washington DC

The 2005 Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference will be held in Washington, DC, the capital of the United States of America. Washington is a beautiful city with many attractions for visitors and locals alike. The conference hotel is situated right in the heart of the city, just three blocks south of the National Mall. Many of the Smithsonian museums and national landmarks are within walking distance. Additionally, since the conference is located at L'Enfant plaza, one of the most convenient metrorail stations in the city, many locations in the city are mere minutes away by public transit!


Note about the Hotel

The conference hotel has changed management. As a result, previous links to their website will take you to a different hotel. Currently, the conference hotel is a part of Crestline Hotels & Resorts, and the URL for its website has changed to http://www.lenfantplazahotel.com. The scuttlebutt is that there may still be some rooms available for most (not all) of the days of the conference (as of 6/13/05); however, there are no rooms available at the conference rate.
