CS755 covers current and emerging issues in advanced computer networks, protocols and applications. Although the class consists mostly of lectures delivered by Dr. Simon, the spirit of the class is that of a seminar, and active class participation is expected. We focus on three major issues:
CS 755 has an Internet section. This
course is delivered to the Internet section online by Network
EducationWare
(NEW). Students in all sections have accounts on NEW and can play back
the
lectures and download the PDF slide files at
http://disted.ite.gmu.edu."\
Project
Project details will
be presented during the second lecture. The
project will involve designing and programming one of several possible
network algorithms.
The GMU honor code and the CS honor code applies. Further, no early exams will be offered. If you must miss an exam then you must provide a written, verifiable excuse. No makeup exams will be offered until your excuse is verified.
