There are really two different GMU Campus Accounts:

• The general campus account, which provides email, access to GMU computer labs, Patriot Web (GMU's student administration system), and access to GMU's wireless network. To activate the general account, just obtain an account at MEMO, GMU's mail system. GMU students should all activate this account.
• An optional account on GMU's OSF1/MASON (mason.gmu.edu) UNIX cluster on which you can run experiments or set up a web page. To activate this account, activate the general campus account first, then follow the steps shown here. IT&E has some additional information here. CS students should activate this account.
