The department is changing from the 303/365/367 sequence to 262/301/367/465. This table will help you determine what classes you need.
If, after reviewing the information on this site, you find that you need additional details, or information specifically geared towards your situation, there are several additional resources available:
Your GMU Catalog contains the official rules. Be careful to consult the proper catalog for your program requirements. Normally, you will be required to fulfill the requirements under the catalog in effect at the time you first enrolled at GMU. If you have been continuously enrolled at GMU since the time you entered, you should also have the option to fulfill the requirements of any GMU catalog that has been in effect during your time enrolled as a student.
You can find official information about all the programs in the GMU Catalog.
The CS "Student Information" bulletin board outside Room 430 S&T II has an organized display of key regulations from the Catalog. Various other helpful information is also posted to this bulletin board from time to time, and information regarding student advisors is kept there.
CS staff in the department office, Room 430 S&T II, are qualified to answer many student questions on both policy and procedure. Feel free to come by the CS department office on a walk-in basis during regular dept. office hours (8:30 - 5:00) to see if your question can be answered by the staff. Forms are also available in hard copy by asking CS department staff. Most of these forms are also available on this wiki.
Advisors If you have formally declared Computer Science as your major, you will have an assigned faculty advisor to assist you with scheduling and other academic decisions. We recommend that you meet with your advisor on a regular basis. For additional information concerning CS faculty advisors, see the Your Advisor page.
