Research Opportunity for Mason Undergraduate Students for Fall 2013 – Summer 2014 through the Jeffress Interdisciplinary Science Research Award:

Two to three undergraduate students are sought for a research project on “Novel Algorithmic Tools for Peptide Modeling.” Undergraduate research will be compensated at $2,000-$2,500/semester (20 hours/week).

Eligibilility:
  • A computational background is a prerequisite
  • Proficiency in C++ programming and experience with complex object-oriented software platforms
  • Solid analytical and Math skills
  • If your direct background is not in computer science, a background in Physics and/or Mathematics are desirable with programming knowledge in a computer language (C, Fortran, MatLab, Phython, etc.)
  • A background in biology is neither required nor a priority
