(a) Carry out hand simulations of the action of Figure 3.14 on each of the following words: class, buss, asses, assess. Express your answer as a string of state numbers followed by the intermediate-level result, and the word "accept" or "reject" as appropriate. Thus, in accord with part of Figure 3.17, we have

You will note that I have added a "#" to the input (foxes#), because the 4 --> 0 transition contains a "#" which stands for the default pair, "#:#" meaning that input and output are the same.

Whenever there are two or more possible paths, give both/all and state which one should be followed to get the desired result.

(b) State whether or not any alterations need be made in this FST and if you think it needs fixing, state what needs to be changed and explain why.
