Grading

The guideline for computing the final grade is:

·         30% reading assignments

·         5% class participation

·         30% project

·         5% peer evaluation

·         30% final exam

Reading assignments.  Students may turn in 5 or more assignments, at students’ discretion, and the best 5 will count towards the grade.  Students will benefit and are still encouraged to complete all the assignments.
Full credit will be given to answers that crisply hit the main points and make a relevant and convincing argument.  Throwing in a lot of ideas hoping that some will hit the mark will be penalized.

Late Work. Students are encouraged to benefit from doing the reading assignments, even if for some personal reason the deadline cannot be met.  Late reading assignments and project deliverables will be penalized by subtracting 10% to the individual grade for each day late.

Incomplete Grades.  No incomplete grades will be given.
