Participation

Students are expected to

        read the materials ahead of class (see schedule),

        participate in class discussions,

        make an average of two presentations during the semester based on the readings
(presentations are individual and students choose which topic to present),

        contribute to a research project
(individually or in groups of two, depending on class size and student’s preference),

        present the results of the project in class.

Honor Code.  George Mason's policy concerning student conduct applies.  Nevertheless, students are encouraged to discuss the topics covered in class as well as solutions to the group projects.  The emphasis of this course is on group learning.
