I modified my Robonova to compete in the Trinity Firefighting contest. In particular, I added a 400 Mhz Gumstix computer and Robostix Microcontroller to the front. Four Sharp IR range sensors are plugged into the Robostix. I also added a servo for the neck which controls a CMUCam3. The violet Saran Wrap filters all light but candle flame. Finally, a 3-axis accelerometer in the shoulder tells the MR-C3024 when the bot has fallen. The pictured 2-axis gyro is not wired at this point. Click on each thumbnail for a larger picture.
