I am always interested in new students who wish to work on the kinds of topics we study in my group. However, I receive way too many individual requests for information, and I am not in a position to respond individually to each of them, so I am summarizing the information here.

  • Current GMU students: If you are currently an undergraduate or graduate student at GMU, or if you have been offered admission, I am more than happy to talk with you about research. Just send me an email (with some information about your program, your interests, and why you're interested in my specific research areas).

  • Potential PhD students: If you're interested in one of the areas of research that I am active in (computational social science, machine learning, multi-agent systems, other things that you see in my recent papers...) please apply to the PhD program. Mention in your statement that you're interested in working with me. Admissions decisions are made by a committee and it is impossible for me to forecast the chances that you will get in.

  • Potential postdocs: If I have a position available I will advertise it, along with information on how to apply. If you have your own funding, feel free to send me an email with specific information on your research and what you would be interested in working on with me.

  • Potential visitors and interns: Unfortunately I have no funding available to support visitors or interns, and I am also not in a position to help with visa applications and the like. If these are not concerns for you, feel free to send me an email with specific information on your research and what you would be interested in working on with me.
