Yutao Zhong joined the Department of Computer Science at GMU in August 2005 after she got her Ph.D. in the University of Rochester. She received B.S. and M.E. degrees from the Nanjing University in 1997 and 2000, respectively. She also received M.S. degree from the University of Rochester in 2002. She is a member of the Association of Computing Machinery.

Her research interests focuse on compiler assisted program analysis and optimization. She worked on Distance-based Whole-Program Data Locality Hierarchy during the Ph.D. study.
