Prerequisites:

Grade of "C" or better in CS 310 (Data Structures) and CS 330 (Formal Methods and Models).

Course Topics

This course covers basic-to-intermediate knowledge for the design, implementation, and use of relational database systems. The main topics include the relational data model, Entity-Relationship (ER) model for database design, Relational Algebra, SQL, database programming, functional dependencies and normalization.

Computer and Device Policy

No laptops, phones, tablets or other electronic devices may be used during the class. They are to be turned off during lectures and exams. You may use your devices during the class break-time. Please print out the lecture slides before coming to class.
