Course Description: This course addresses the issues involved in creating, curating, managing and using knowledge in e-business applications.
Topics covered in the course include
The knowledge management life cycle model;
Leadership in dynamic e-business environments;
E-business models and networks;
E-business modeling, ontologies and business rules
E-business security and reliability;
E-business middleware, integration and protocols;
XML, e-business processes, web services and semantic web services.
Grading Policy:
Your grade in the course will be determined by grades obtained in individual assignments; class participation (in-class attendance, discussion and Blackboard participation); case study discussions focused on Knowledge Management and E-Business issues; a group research project and presentation; and a Final Exam.
