Sharlina Keshava (she/her/hers) is a part-time masters student in the Computer Science department at George Mason University. She is interested in various aspects of multilingual Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning and applying language technologies to social responsibility domains. Her current research is on fairness in language tools.

Sharlina is also full-time data scientist at Amazon Web Services, and serves as the technical lead on several client-facing efforts. She is passionate about enabling clients to build machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions on the AWS platform. Her work has spanned several machine learning domains and includes machine translation, computer vision, named entity recognition, document triage, and information retrieval.
