I have delayed assembly of the GP2D* IR sensors for the time being. Until we have a working brain, we have no way of powering or testing the sensors. Also, the manual suggests adding a capacitor b/w Vcc and GND to dampen noise.

I've added the appropriate capacitors to the buy list. When we get them in, we'll assemble all the sensors in Assembly-line fashion during an ARC meeting.
