Biography of Kevin Andrea

Kevin Andrea is an Assistant Professor (Teaching-Track) with the Department of Computer Science at George Mason University. Following his active duty service with the United States Marine Corps, he began his work in the field of computer science by earning an Associate's Degree in Systems Programming from De Anza College in Cupertino California. Following this, he returned to the military to serve in the Army National Guard. Transferring to George Mason University during this second tour of duty in the military, Kevin was accepted into the Accelerated Masters Program, where he completed his Bachelor's degree and, following the acceptance of his thesis, a Master's degree in Computer Science. Upon admission to the Doctoral program, he continued this research, serving in positions as a Graduate Research Assistant, a faculty Research Associate in association with the C4I and Cyber Center, and finally as an instructor in the Department of Computer Science. Kevin teaches undergraduate low-level and systems programming courses.

Kevin has a Best Paper award from MILCOM'17, an h-index of 3, and an Erdös number of 4.
