Directions To and Parking at Arlington Campus
GMU Arlington campus is easily accessible from the metro. In addition to street parking, parking is available in a garage near the Heinz Hall (School of Law). Suggestions for metro, driving and parking are provided below.

METRO TO ARLINGTON CAMPUS (3301/3401 Fairfax Dr., Arlington)
Take the Orange Line to the Virginia Square/GMU station. Take the
escalator to the street level, and turn to face Fairfax Drive. Across the
street and to the right, you will see the FDIC building. The Arlington
Campus is next door.
DRIVING
DIRECTIONS TO ARLINGTON CAMPUS (3301/3401 Fairfax Dr., Arlington) from Washington, DC
Cross over the Roosevelt Bridge; follow signs to the George Washington Parkway.
Once on the parkway, exit at Spout Run (left exit). Cross over Route 29 (Lee Highway). Spout Run is now Kirkwood Road. Cross over Washington Boulevard.
The Arlington Campus is on the right, at Fairfax Drive.
DIRECTIONS TO ARLINGTON CAMPUS (3301/3401 Fairfax Dr., Arlington) from I-66 heading east
Exit I-66 at Glebe Road/Fairfax Drive (exit 71). The exit ramp turns into
Fairfax Drive. After traveling one mile on North Fairfax Drive, you
will see the FDIC building on the left. The Arlington Campus is next to
the FDIC facility.
*Note: All eastbound lanes of I-66 inside the Beltway are restricted to HOV-2 from 6:30 am to 9:00 am and all westbound lanes of I-66 inside the Beltway are restricted to HOV-2 from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
DIRECTIONS TO ARLINGTON CAMPUS (3301/3401 Fairfax Dr., Arlington) from I-66 heading west
Exit I-66 at Glebe Road (exit 71). Turn left onto Washington Boulevard.
Stay on Washington Boulevard until you pass the Giant Supermarket; then turn
right onto Kirkwood Road. The Arlington Campus is on the right, at Fairfax Drive.

DIRECTIONS TO ARLINGTON CAMPUS (3301/3401 Fairfax Dr., Arlington) from I-395
Exit I-395 at Glebe Road North. Continue on Glebe Road, passing Ballston
Common Mall on the right. Cross over Wilson Boulevard, then turn right
onto Fairfax Drive. After one mile you will see the FDIC building on the
left. The Arlington Campus is next to the FDIC facility.
DIRECTIONS TO ARLINGTON CAMPUS (3301/3401 Fairfax Dr., Arlington) from Fairfax and Points West, via Route 50
Go east on Route 50 (Arlington Blvd.). Exit at Glebe Road, and turn left on
Glebe. Turn right on Fairfax Drive. The Arlington Campus is one mile down Fairfax Drive, next to the FDIC facility.

Metered street parking is often available near the campus. Parking is also available in the GMU Foundation Building (GMUF) parking deck. The Arlington campus map shows the location of this parking facility.
To access the GMUF parking, you can utilize two separate entrances, both off of Washington Blvd. The North entrance is located near the Giant loading dock and the South entrance is located in the alley between the Truland Building and the Foundation Building.
Directions to and from GMUF parking
For those driving directly to the Foundation Building parking garage it is recommended that you approach the garage from the north on Washington Blvd. so you can make a right turn into the entrances. If you are driving on Fairfax Drive from I-66, you can make a left at Quincy Ave. (the Arlington Funeral Home sign is on the corner) and then make a right onto Washington Blvd. across from Washington and Lee High School. It is best to use the entrance closest to Giant by turning right at the traffic light rather than use the entrance in the alley by the Truland Building.
Once the GMU spaces are full before 6pm, Federal Parking, who operates the garage separately from the University, will be able to stack park approximately another 50 cars-drivers will have to leave their keys with the parking attendant when having their vehicle stack parked.
From GMUF parking to Hazel Hall (School of Law)
For pedestrian access from GMUF to Hazel Hall, one should exit at Washington Blvd (using the pedestrian exit at the corner closest to Giant and near Mei’s Asian Bistro restaurant), turn right on Washington Blvd and then right onto Kirkwood Dr.
From GMUF parking to Original Building (School of Public Policy)
For those walking to the Original Building, there is a pedestrian bridge, from the GMUF building to the FDIC plaza behind the Original Building (remember there will be no access from the front of the Original Building). From the FDIC plaza one can enter the Original Building at the second floor.
