Update Protocols: Primary Copy
- Writes are always done to primary server. Before
write is done, it has to be written to stable storage
at the primary site crash of the primary site
stops all updates and primary site may become
a bottleneck for updates.
- Reads can be done from any server (primary or
secondary read load is balanced and system is
more fault tolerant for reads.
