Zoran Duric received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1986, and his
Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland at College Park
in 1995. From 1982 to 1989 he was a Member of the Research Staff at
the Division for Vision and Robotics, Energoinvest Institute for
Control and Computer Science, Sarajevo. He was also affiliated with
the Electrical Engineering Department of the University of
Sarajevo. From 1995 to 1997 Dr. Duric was an Assistant Research
Scientist at the Machine Learning
and Inference Laboratory at George
Mason University and at the Center for Automation Research at
the University of Maryland. From 1996 to 1997 Dr. Duric was also a
Visiting Assistant Professor at the Computer Science Department of George
Mason University. He joined the faculty of George Mason University
in the Fall of 1997 as an Assistant Professor of Computer
Science. Dr. Duric is a Senior Member of IEEE Computer Society.
