We have compiled resources from various sources for studying in preparation of the qualifying exams.
There are frequently study groups that form for individual exams. Please ask about study groups on the CSGSA Facebook group. Study groups are led by students and are intended to multiply the effort an individual student spends preparing for the exams. Group leaders will facilitate sharing of lecture notes and practice problems. Weekly meetings are encouraged, even if conducted virtually. Meetings should be a time to discuss solutions to problems the individuals in the group have already attempted. It's important to spend time solving practice problems and reviewing material on your own, however group problem solving can expose you to new solving techniques.
Groups may consider offering mock exams. Students that have already taken the qualifying exams can help select problems. Please do not share questions from past qualifying exams or course material without permission from the instructor.
