Professor Hassan Gomaa has written a new book on Real-Time Software Design for Embedded Systems, which is published by Cambridge University Press.

The book describes a comprehensive concurrent object-oriented and component-based method for the real-time software design of complex distributed embedded systems and the cyber components of cyber-physical systems.

Professor Gomaa will be teaching a graduate course this fall based on the book. SWE 721 Software Analysis and Design of Real-Time Systems is an advanced course for MS SWE and MS CS students, as well as PhD students. The prerequisites for this course are SWE 621 or CS 571.
