The Computer Science Department offers the PhD program in Information Technology with concentrations in Information Systems, Software Engineering, and Information Security and Assurance. The doctoral program allows students to take a broad range of courses and research options. Students can specialize in various areas, including informattion systems, software engineering, and information security. Students may also pursue the PhD in Computer Science.

The PhD in Information Technology, as offered by the department, includes three primary concentrations:

• PhD Concentration in Information Systems
• PhD Concentration in Information Security
• PhD Concentration in Software Engineering

The department also offers the option of a Ph.D. in Information Technology in which one can pursue research in computer science. In this program, you will receive an IT Ph.D. rather than a CS Ph.D. For more information on this option, go here.
