The CS department welcomes Ana Gonzalez, Maya Larson, and Tessema Mengistu who will be joining the department as teaching-track Assistant Professors.

Dr. Gonzalez received her PhD from the National Polytechnic Institute, Mexico in 2013. She subsequently worked as a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Skovde, Sweden. Her research interests are in software testing and optimization algorithms.

Dr. Larson received her PhD from George Washington University in 2016. She has several years of experience working as a software engineer in industry. Her research interests are in computer security and privacy.

Dr. Mengistu received his PhD from the University of Southern Illinois in 2018, and subsequently served on the faculty of the CS department at the same university. His research interests are in distributed systems and cloud computing.
