Prof. Shuochao Yao with the CS Department won the best paper award at the 18th ACM Conference on Embedded Networked Sensor Systems (SenSys 2020).
His paper, titled "Deep Compressive Offloading: Speeding Up Neural Network Inference by Trading Edge Computation for Network Latency" was published in collaboration with Jinyang Li, Dongxin Liu, Tianshi Wang, Shengzhong Liu, Huajie Shao, Tarek Abdelzaher at UIUC.
