CONTEST RULES
By submitting an entry into this contest, you agree to the following rules and regulations:
How to Enter
- Entries should be submitted to csinfo@gmu.edu with the subject line “T-shirt Design Contest” and should include the contestant’s full name, G#, and GMU email address
- Only one entry is allowed per person
- Participation is restricted to undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Computer Science
- All entries must be submitted no later than Friday, March 27
Design Requirements
- Your design should incorporate themes and concepts appropriate to computer science
- It is not required, but you are welcome to design an informal Department of Computer Science logo or use the words “computer science” in your design
- The winning design will be printed in full color (if applicable) on the back of a t-shirt
- Your file must be at least 300dpi or vector art
- File types accepted: PDF, AI or EPS, JPG, PNG, BMP, DOC, PPT, PUB
- All entries must be original creations of the contestants, have never been published, and do not contain profanity, trademarks, logos, or copyrighted work of any other person or business
- The Department of Computer Science reserves the right to use the winning design at any time after the contest
- The contest winner may display their own design in a portfolio or personal collection, but may not sell or reproduce the design for any other purpose once submitted to the contest
Judging and Prizes
- A panel of judges comprised of Department of Computer Science faculty and staff will choose the top three entries
- One grand prize winner will receive $200 and have their design featured on printed t-shirts
- Two runners up will each receive $50
- The winning entry and runners up will be announced on Friday, April 3
