Brackets

To mount the CMUCam2 to the servo, we needed a small, stiff bracket. We used some scrap aluminum brackets we had lying around, and cut them to size. This is more or less the only custom-made part for the Robot besides the two decks. The camera was then mounted to the bracket using nylon spacers and #3 bolts. The bracket was then attached to a standard servo horn using #2 bolts.

     

Serial Cable

The camera connects to the Gumstix's ttyS2 port via a serial cable and Palm Macintosh Serial Adapter Cable.
