Nine undergraduate students form the second cohort of the 10-weeek immersive Research Experience for Undergraduate Site (REU) on Educational Data Mining led by Huzefa Rangwala and Mark Snyder.
Mason alumnus Joey Meyer developed an appreciation for using his imagination to build ever since he was a child fascinated by Legos. After graduating from McLean High School in Virginia, he still wanted to create, and earning an engineering degree was his goal.
The annual CS Department Graduation Celebration and Awards Dinner was held on May 15, 2019 to honor students, faculty, and staff for outstanding achievement. Among the award winners, Katherine Hough was recognized as the Outstanding Undergraduate of the Year while Nasrin Akhter and Jianchao Tian were recognized as the Outstanding Graduate Students of the Year.
Professor Daniel Menasce gave the keynote address “Taming Complexity with Self-Managing Systems” at the joint 21st International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems (ICEIS) and the 14th International Conference on Evaluation of Novel Approaches to Software Engineering (ENASE) in Heraklion, Crete, Greece, on May 5th, 2019.
