Congratulations to PhD students Lutful Kazi Kabir and Nasrin Akhter and professor Amarda Shehu whose paper “Connecting Molecular Energy Landscape Analysis with Markov Model-based Analysis of Equilibrium Structural Dynamics” received the Best Paper Award at the 11th International Conference on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (BICOB) held in Honolulu, HI on March 18-20, 2019.

Professor Offutt wins a SCHEV 2019 Outstanding Faculty Award!

Prof. Jeff Offutt has been named one of the winners of the 2019 Outstanding Faculty Awards by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV).

Prof. Osterweil is securing the building blocks of the Internet

Prof. Osterweil, who joined Mason in fall 2018, is building a team of researchers to investigate ways to improve the security of core Internet protocols, including inter-domain routing, the super-highway of the Internet that carries all traffic­­, and the Domain Name System (DNS), the system that gives names to all Internet resources. He’s also working to extend those protections into other security mechanisms and tools throughout Internet systems.
