Professor Offutt wins a SCHEV 2019 Outstanding Faculty Award!

Prof. Jeff Offutt has been named one of the winners of the 2019 Outstanding Faculty Awards by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV).
Prof. Osterweil, who joined Mason in fall 2018, is building a team of researchers to investigate ways to improve the security of core Internet protocols, including inter-domain routing, the super-highway of the Internet that carries all traffic, and the Domain Name System (DNS), the system that gives names to all Internet resources. He’s also working to extend those protections into other security mechanisms and tools throughout Internet systems.
Congratulations to Prof. Thomas Latoza for winning the prestigious NSF Faculty Early Career Development Award. His project is titled Debugging Mental Models. You can read more about his project here.
