All full-time students admitted to the CS Ph.D. program are provided funding from the department in the form of a teaching assistantship or fellowship. In addition, a variable number of Research Assistantships are available each year through faculty member’s research grants. PhD students are given strong preference for these positions, and at present most PhD students in need of an assistantship are being funded.

Students who continue to make good academic progress will typically be funded through the completion of their Ph.D. by teaching or research assistantships.
